Outdoor dining in the middle of summer is normally not my thing. But last night was the perfect evening to dine outside in DC. A friend and I enjoyed a visually stunning dinner and wine pairing at Little Pearl. Little Pearl is part of the world renowned Rose’s Luxury family.

There were beautiful edible flowers in my salad. A single purple flower on top of an Angel egg (a totally unexpected texture of meringue). We shared a perfectly seasoned and decadent lobster. Dessert was milk (soy, sprinkled with nutmeg) and cookies with a nice assortment of various sorbets.

We enjoyed wine from New Zealand, Greece, Georgia and France. Each wine perfectly paired and uniquely different (there was a Pet Nat with Pinot Noir and Riesling).

Although young, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. IMO, Little Pearl is definitely worth the hefty price tag.
