I’m not going to lie, last Saturday was pretty chilly. But part of the #DMVTravelCrew ventured out anyway. We made plans to meet at La Vie (a restaurant at the Wharf) for brunch to test out their new outdoor igloos. The views from the Penthouse were stunning. Even with the wind howling. Brrrr!!
Once inside the igloo, it was a totally different world. It was nice and toasty (they include a heater). We even opened one of the “windows” in the igloo to let in air circulation.
The staff was super friendly and made us feel comfortable. The drinks were amazing. I had the “All Smoke No Fire” and the “La Vie AF.” My friends had and LOVED the Chocolat en Blanc and enjoyed the Rosé Sangria. The food was just okay (definitely order the Mediterranean spread). Prices vary on igloo rental not including a minimum spend of $50pp. The sooner you make a reservation the more likely you can get an igloo closer to the water.
I would totally go again for drinks and the atmosphere (at night it looks amazing with everything lit up). It’s a place to visit in colder weather, if we have to get out of the house.
