I forgot to post my visit to the new Whole Foods in DC. I’m a sucker for an enomatic machine!! You fill a card with money and you can try different wines by the glass – it’s like Dave & Busters for adults! $25 got me a lot of pours. It’s also a great way to try some expensive wines (there was a Ridge Zinfandel!).
We grabbed a meal from Philly Wing Fry and hung out in the So Cap Wine Bar. Never thought I would hang out in a grocery store for a few hours! I also got lucky that there was a tasting by Damian Davis from Portlandia. Loved their Pinot Noir (100% Pinot Noir, fun, red fruit). A great wine to chill and sip on with friends.
