During a tasting at Urban Grape DC, I finally got to meet the owner of TCapri Tequila, Tiffany Capri Hainesworth. “Tiffany’s path led to artisan tequila distillers, Tequila el Tepozan SA de CV, and Master Tequilero, Carlos Padilla.” She is the first Black woman in the world to own her own tequila brand. She’s also from DC. So that’s a double win for me!
I tasted and purchased her blanco and reposado. Both easy sipping, clean tequilas! As my friend said, if you want to mix them, you want to use nothing but the best!
For Cinco de Mayo I just drank the blanco straight. That’s what the day required!
