Today, the first Black and Indian Woman, Kamala Harris, walks into the White House as Vice President. Madam Vice President. An HBCU grad (to be specific a HOWARD grad) and member of the Divine Nine, AKA Sorority, Inc. Little girls all around the world know they can dream bigger and the universe is the limit (we are going beyond the sky baby!). With the start of a new day, let’s see if we can get back to being civil to one another. I still have a little faith in us.
Since this is a celebratory day, I decided to start with a 2017 Blanc de Blancs from Schramsberg. 100% Chardonnay. An absolute American sparkler. Here’s a little about the Davies, owners of Schramsberg — “The Davies had an ambition to make wine, but not just any wine. They were setting out to produce a world-class sparkling wine, and it was a lofty goal. Later that year, the 1965 Blanc de Blancs came to be, and would be the first commercial use of Chardonnay in American sparkling wine.”
