This year I have been trying to drink more white wine. For this red wine lover this is not an easy task. However, the crazy heat in DC has made for a smooth transition.
I will tell you that this inexpensive white wine (on sale for $12.99 at Zachy’s DC, but I purchased it on a flash sale for $5) made my journey a tad easier. It also helps that it is mineral driven. I barely noticed it was 13.5% ABV.
Made by Fattoria Le Pupille, the 2016 Poggio Argentato is a cuvee (blend) of Traminer and Sauvignon Blanc. It went perfectly with my salmon and mixed vegetables.
Thank goodness I purchased three bottles but may need more.
